10 Endrathukulla Tamil Movie Review

What do you expect from a movie which boasts of Vikram , Samantha Ruth Prabhu , Pasupathi in the cast , Music by Imman , Directed by Vijay Milton and produced by A.R. Murugadoss and distributed by Fox Star Studios ? A Blockbuster right ? Well Vikram , Pasupathi and Imman have proved their mettle and rest of them have let us down big time .

The movie starts with Pasupathi and his gang trying to steal a package (prasadam in their language) . They capture a guy who has the information about the package and the transporter . Yes you read it right .. transporter . Rofl literally . So this guy A gets a package from another guy B on a bridge which is not connected , similar to the one you saw in Speed . Rofl once again . Pasupathy asks the guy A about the transporter who is going to deliver ... guy A says the transporter doesn't have any name but he will come on time . dot to the T . It's just 10 seconds left for the mentioned deadline . The guy A says "10 seconds is still left and that's enough " .. 10 endradukulla .. tantandoin.. you hear a car sound on the other side of the bridge and next second you see a RED colour Sonata zooming onto your screen . The car literally leaps between these two bridges , not only that it makes a swirl mid air , the guy A throws the bag , the sunroof opens , vikram catches the bag and vrooms away .

If only the vfx was good , this particular scene would have been mindblowing . I couldn't believe the vfx standard considering it's a big budget movie . While you are digesting this scene , you will be shocked to know the content of the package . It's a kidney or some organ that requires to be transplanted in some hospital . Now who in the world would transplant an organ in this way ? that too in this age where green corridor for ambulance has been done and proved in chennai recently . Disappointed Mr. Vijay milton . I explained the above scene in detail just to tell you guys how bad the execution of the scene and story is .

Samantha should try to bring a difference in the way she is acting these days . If she continues the same style , then the day isn't too far where her fans would get bored of her . She dons a double role that of an antagonist which comes only in the last few scenes . A good scope got wasted .

Over all It's not a road movie at all . The movie story is so wafer thin that the director must have told it in 10 seconds , hence they decided to keep the title as "10 Endradukulla" . The songs are good . The climax is bizarre . Vikram doesn't have a name in this movie and Samantha's name is shakeela . Sethupathi as doss is okay . The song "vroom vroom" isn't picturized well . The fights are okay too .


I don't want to waste much of your time in telling more about this movie .. it's not worth it .

One more flop in Vikram's career .

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Hindi Movie Review :)

Bajrangi Bhaijaan - People who had been complaining that Salman Khan's movies doesn't have a story , Sallu Bhai replied to them with this movie . Matlab Moo Thod Jawab dee hien bhai ne .  Now , suck it up people .

 Bajrangi Bhaijaan has a good story by Vijayendra Prasad , father of SS. Rajamouli .

BB has a very good strong story which doesn't require Bhai to show his muscles or take out his shirt and show us his six pack . This is the story of Munni (Shahida , because her mom is a super fan of Shahid Afridi ) who is speech impaired and she is from Pakistan She gets lost in India when her mom brings her to Hazrat Nizamuddin Darga in delhi . Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi aka fondly called as Bajrangi happens to meet this girl and the rest of the story is how Bhai takes all the efforts to reunite munni with her parents in pakistan. You know all this from the trailer itself .

There are no spectacular fights to impress bhai's fans but who will complain after watching this movie . The strong points of this movie are the dialogues by Kabir Khan & additional dialogues by Kausar Munir and brilliant performances by Harshali Malhotra (A brilliant find ) , Salman Khan & Nawazuddin Siddiqui and supporting cast by Sharad Saxena , Meher vij .

The music is a let down compared to Bhai's other movies . The screen play is top notch .
You should watch out those scenes where bhai assumes that Munni is a Hindu Brahmin and how later he comes to know that she is not brahmin , not a hindu , not a indian at all . These scenes are hilarious . The scenes at the India Pakistan border where bhai doesn't want to cross the border without the pakistan army's permission is little over done but it's not a sore point in the movie .

There are lots of other scenes and dialogues which will keep you engaged all through . The climax is little predictable and also it will leave you teary eyed before you leave the theatre .

Sorry forgot to mention about the special appearance by Kareena Kapoor Khan . I was wondering why she was looking like a muslim with eye full of kajal and no bindhi when she belongs to an orthodox brahmin family . Sharad Saxena is shown as an orthodox person btw so her characteristics doesn't gel well .

For a change Pakistan is shown in a very good light . It will make us think "haan wahan pe bhi achche log rehte hien " types . Let it be Nawazuddin Siddiqui as chand nawab (reporter inspired by a youtube video where the reporter tries to report a news and people keep crossing him and he gets pissed off )

 Meher Vij (munni's mother) , Om Puri (molana sab) or the bus conductor who helps bhai and munni in pakistan .

Nawazuddin has a strong role to play and man he is on a roll oflate .

Munni (Harshali Malhotra ) is defnitely going to sweep all the awards this year and if luck favours she will get more films in the near future and one day inshallah i will write a review of a movie where she is the lead heroine :)

Watch this with your entire family (I assume half of you must have watched by now )

Bahubali Movie Review :) err not exactly a review

Vamana has grown to a proportion that the Sun was looking like an umbrella .

This is how Dir. Rajamouli has grown over the years .

Well to be honest , I am not eligible to write a review for his latest Magnum Opus "Bahubali" . Seriously . He has outgrown himself with his every film . 

So , I am not reviewing this film but for few thoughts .

This film is a visual treat for your eyes . let it be the unbelievable waterfalls or the snow clad mountains or the war scenes .

Every actor has given his best performance till date . I don't know why people are cribbing about Tamanna's performance and read somewhere that she is a minus point for the film . I , while watching her scenes in turn got goosebumps . I am not exaggerating . Ramya Krishnan , Sathyaraj & Nasser do utmost justice to their roles . No one else could have potrayed Raja Mata's character better than Ramya Krishnan . Aa hundatanam .. Aa theevi abbabbo . She had set the scenes rolling right from the frame she appears on screen .

Anushka deserves applauds for accepting this role . The fierce in her eyes shows the pain , anger and revenge in the same frame .

Prabhas has given his best to the film but somehow I felt that the zeal is missing . He looks tired at places and eye bag cleanups are visible upright . Rana Daggubati surprises you with his physique and ruthless eyes .

The VFX - I can understand people complaining about the quality of the vfx in this film . What they don't understand is that almost all the scenes in the movie contain heavy Vfx and people are comparing with Hollywood movies , hence the non-satisfactory factor arising due to heavy expectations and huge comparisions . 

I am eagerly waiting for the Bahubali - Conclusion which comes next year . 

Please go and do watch it in Theatres . Go with your family . Worth every single rupee spent .

Dil Dhadakne Do Simple Movie Review ;)

Dhil Dhadakne Do Movie .. Simple Review ;)

The snail that I met at the start of this film #DilDhadakaneDo has already reborn as a rabbit and has reached Kashmir from kanyakumari .

If your heart starts beating at the same pace as this #DilDhadakaneDo is going , you would die for sure .

If you are one of those who feel that time is running very fast , if you feel that it was like day before yesterday that you celebrated new years eve and its already june and if you want to feel that you want a slow paced life then Dhil Dhadakne Do is for you . paced at 2 hour 50 minutes this film is so damn slow that you will feel like you have lived a decade inside the theatre . I even felt like I saw my grand kids buying the popcorn in the interval . its a feel good movie but you don't want your Dil to dhadkofy at 12 beats per second for sure . sorry no offence meant but .. Is Dil ko itne dheere dhadakna nahi chahiye .. Not good for your health ;)

Massu Engira Maasilamani Tamil Movie Review !

The movie was initially  titled "Mass" which was later rechristened to "Massu Engira Maasilamani" .
To be honest they should have kept the title as "Mokka Engira Mokkasami" . okay that was a spoiler alert . sorry .

Surya after the debacle of Anjaan and Venkat Prabhu after the debacle of Biryani has teamed up for "MEM" . Did they hit the bulls eye ? In parts I must say . The first half is pretty confusing as in where the story is heading to . In the interval you will be hanging on in the hope that the second half would be a blast but you will be disappointed with the second half too . It seems Dir Venkat Prabhu can't take a decent movie when stars are involved . He was in good form till Saroja and okay to some extent in the Ajith Starrer Mankatha .

Surya is a thief with Premji as his accomplice . They meet with an accident from where on Surya gets the power of seeing ghosts . The ghosts wants Surya to help them as they all are in this earth because some of their wishes are not fulfilled . Now Surya instead of helping them asks them to help him first and he will help them later . Surya loves a girl and that girl needs 3.5 lakh rupees to get a promotion from nurse to head nurse . This girl has total of only 5 to 6 scenes in the entire length of the movie which is equivalent to that of Vidyulekha who has donned the role of comedian . I am not able to remember who the girl is who thought she is playing the heroine's role where in its nothing but a guest appearance . who is that girl who is that girl ? yeah now i remember after a brief research on google . Nayantara . yes . I don't know what Venkat Prabhu and Nayantara were thinking when the role was offered and accepted . Nayan , please don't list this movie in your biodata . I can say the same to Surya also . What was he thinking ? okay now another Surya comes in to the story in the form of a ghost . He also wants Massu's help to take revenge on his killers . Who is this ghost surya and how his human surya helps him out forms the rest of the story .

The one main thing which you shouldn't expect in Mass Masala movies is logic . Those movies have good entertaining story hence few logic voids are acceptable . This movie's basic plot itself is devoid of logic . The ghosts in this film can use their power and throw any object at anyone . If they have this power to handle materialistic objects , then why does the Ghost Surya doesn't use his powers to kill the villains . Just because the story should drag on till second half ? or because normal surya is his son and he wants his son to take revenge hence making his son a murderer ? The story drags and drags and drags that even if you had slept and woke up after sometime  , you wouldn't have missed out on anything .

The songs are a dud and so are the fight sequences . The only thing worth noticing is the CG . They have done a decent job . The screenplay if at all there is something as such is not noteworthy . 

Venkat Prabhu sir , you have good calibre hence please don't waste it on movies like this . You should have learnt a lesson or two from Lingusamy . It seems Venkat Prabhu and his team must have watched "Apoorva Sahodarargal" one night after a good late night party and stumbled up on the idea "What if we take the same movie by including ghosts into it " . So remove kamal hassan and include Surya , one will be a ghost instead of a baffoon in the circus and the other will be a con instead of a mechanic . add Premji , some computer graphics and hola you have a new movie .

There are few funny moments in the film but that cannot suffice the damage already done .

Why I am an Agnostic ?

There are three kinds of people in this world . One who believes that God exists and he is called an theist . Second who disbelieves in God and he is called an atheist then there comes the Third kind who has a doubt whether God exists or not . I belong to the third kind and people like me are called Agnostic . 

Nobody is a born atheist , theist or agnostic . 

The world around changes him/her into one of the above three.  

I was an theist who used to regularly and religiously visit temples , pray to God and even adorn my forehead with "Vibuthi" (Ash ) . This was during my teens . I had few problems in my life and as I was used to believe that God will solve the problems , I started going to temple every day . Days turned into weeks and months but the problems still persisted and gradually I realized that God will not come and solve your problems even if you pray to him every day in and out . I stopped visiting him at the temples where people said that it was his home but for me it was a place where he was residing in the form of a stone . I still prayed to him but stopped idol worshiping . I stopped expecting solutions to my problems from him , instead solved them on my own . Two things happend by doing this ,  I stopped depending on someone for solving my problems and my self confidence grew more . 

This was my first step getting away from God or put it as first step towards atheism from theism . 
My problems multiplied and along with that my confidence too and i was turning completely into an atheist . There came a time after I shifted base to bombay that God became a three letter word and nothing more than that . Years flew and I stopped believing in God . My parents used to usher me sometimes to the temple on my birthday but that never made me pray to him . I used to have good amount of arguments and discussions with my parents and friends on this but no one ever came to a solid conclusion because the knowledge on the subject is such .

Then there came a phase in my life that I got married . No , I didn't start to believe in God even after that . Few incidents happened in my life where i started believing in miracles and somehow or the other my belief towards God started growing at a very leisure place . 

So there are things which still make me not to believe in God and there are other things which make me believe in him . so thus I am an Agnostic who has his own doubts . sometimes I feel like fuck the concept of God , just love those who deserve , help someone when possible and do no harm to anyone .

I shall discuss about my doubts and beliefs in another post entirely but as of now I clearly don't understand whether God exists or has taken an exit . I think Animals don't pray to God but still they have a life and they are living happily or you gonna tell me that animals do pray and it's just that we are not aware of that . ok i am not aware of that lol ;) 

one of my friend who was an atheist turned into an theist after getting married . my poor wife didn't succeed apparently ;)

Fast & Furious 7 Movie Review :) :) :)

Now first things first .. This is not the final part of the Fast & Furious franchise .

The movie starts with Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw vowing to destroy the team that put his brother in the hospital bed . The rest of the movie is about how Jason Statham plays villain and Vin diesel's team survives and destroys him at the end of the movie . Vin diesel has a team of his own and Dwayne Johnson is a team on his own ;) Han is killed in Tokyo by Statham and he more or less tries to bomb Vin diesel and his family but somehow fails. So Vin Diesel sets on a multi country pursuit to face off statham . It's like Salman bhai tells in kick "Main police ke peeche aur police mere peeche , too much fun " . Similarly Vin Diesel goes in search of Statham and Statham is already behind Vin Diesel . Enters Kurt Russell as Mr. Nobody ( I think he works for US govt . ) who proposes a deal with Vin Diesel . The deal is that there is a hacker who has created computer terrorism program called "God's Eye" and Vin Diesel should get the program to Kurt Russell and in turn will help him nab Statham . The computer program is such that it can trace any human from any part of the world using lots of technology like phone calls , cameras etc etc . (yes yes Eagle Eye movie of Shia LaBeouf has a similar technology ) . The hacker Ramsey is kidnapped by some terrorists and only she knows where the program is . So eventually they rescue Ramsey and after that there are lots of chases and gun fightings till the end and obviously Vin Diesel and his team go back to their respective homes is all about the film and that is nothing new to you .

Now we all know why we go to watch Fast & Furious Franchise . Just for Action and there are plenty in this . Every Action sequence in this film is mind blowing . Specially the Ramsey rescue operation and Dubai operation .

Ramsey at one point after the rescue tells vin diesel and his team that she has mailed the program to one of her freinds in UAE . Being the one who has watched jackie chan and arnol movies all his child hood , I was like why are they going all the way to dubai if she had mailed it . They could have asked her friend to mail back no . well well later on I realized that "Mail" she meant was couriered it and not e-mail :) LoL !

There are lots of mind blowing action sequences and take my word .. it's adrenaline ride all through . One particular shot where the car flies from the second tower to third tower is trippy . Unlike other movies , the action sequences are not only limited to those shown in the Trailer . The trailer was just like a appetizer . There is a nice beautiful tribute to Paul walker at the end of the movie . Don't miss to watch it .

"I" Tamil Movie Review :)

What if you go to a hotel and order for something to eat and they bring it an hour later and the dish is not tasty enough for you to lick your fingers ? Would you be happy eating what you have ordered because the cook took more time in preparing the dish ? Would you consider that the cook is very famous but would have failed this time and tell yourself that you should be happy considering all the facts that must have gone into cooking ?

Shanker has let me down this time and big time . The only soothing and satisfactory thing about "I" is our very own "Chiyyan" Vikram in his most wonderful performance till date . Like they say "Na Bhuto Na Bhavishyati" . I am not going to compare Vikram with what Christian Bale did for "The Fighter" . What Vikram did for this film is mindblowing . I mean who would take their work so seriously and would do it so convincingly . The way Vikram has transformed himself from a body builder to that of a hunchback is tremendous . Kamal Hassan would have donned many roles and would have transformed himself for the role but what Vikram did for this movie is "Athukkum Mele" .

Weta workshop has done a great job .

Music is not great and Mersilayitten stands apart and is top notch , poorkale satru oyvedungal comes next . Rest is for cigarette breaks ;)

Now there are just two people for whom you have to watch this movie . One is Vikram and the Next one is P.C . Sreeram Sir . Wow ! What an extraordinary cinematography . Mersilayitten pa . He has created magic . I have no words to explain how beautifully he has shot . Outstanding sir and I am not surprised because this is what he does on a regular basis for all his films .

Amy Jackson fits the role to the T . Santhanam in his usual best , Suresh Gopi could have done better and I feel so cause he has lots of calibre . Ramkumar Ganesan may get few other roles after this movie . Upen Patel is okay but not a villain material for sure . The other guy who is also a body builder has done a good job and so had Ojas M. Rajani as the stylist .  The antagonists of this films could have been more stronger and the way Vikram takes revenge could have been more interesting and the director could have given more details into it .

On the whole , "I" is a one time watch just for the sheer efforts that Vikram has put in . This is not a typical Shankar film so prepare yourself before you book the tickets .

I didn't like this film that much and why I say it's just a one time watch because the combination of Shankar , AR Rehman , Vikram and PC sir can definitely deliver better . Only Vikram and PC Sir have delivered their best and have done a great job .  Shankar and ARR have definitely disappointed .
