Movies influence us a lot in lot more ways and movies influenced me in changing the perspective of love or indeed made me understand the true meaning of love.. haan Kahaani poor FILMY hien..
Parwaana (1971) was the first movie which actually made me think about Love and understand the initial meaning of love.. In this movie Amitabh Bachchan loves yogita bali and yogita bali loves navin nischol. Amitabh Bachchan kills yogita balis father and somehow navin nischol gets framed for the murder. However till the end the drama continues and folds in the climax where navin nischol is about to get sentenced , Amitabh the great enters the court only to tell that he is the actual murderer just because he couldnt see yogita bali in tears. He didnt want her when someone else is there in her heart.. This movie taught me that comewhat might.. you should go to the extent of killing the father of the girl you love and at the end you can confess and win a place in her heart..if not her heart.
Sagara Sangamam or Salangai Oli (1983) was an another movie which unfolded the true meaning of love to me. In this movie kamal hassan after losing Jayaprada to her enstranged husband lives in her thoughts and prays for the couples happines.. He loves her to the extent that he cannot see her sad .. He cannot see her as a widow and thats why precisely jayaprada acts as if she is still Sumangali (matlab she is still not an widow) infront of kamalhassan just to make him live.. This Movie taught me that you can love a girl even if she is married , widow or whatever until your last breathe.
Devdas (1955) (2002) ... This movie is the greatest of all.. we can say Baap of all love stories. Shahrukh loves ash (literally ash) and due to some difference of opinion shahruk abandons her and she gets married to a big old zamindar. Now after she is married Shahrukh realises that he cant live without her and starts drinking whisky brandy beer vodka and what not.. Madhrui dixit is a vamp who falls head over heels in love with shahrukh but at the end shahrukh spoils his lungs , liver , kidney (what not.. worse than Rajeshkhanna who suffers from Lynphasacoma of the intestine in the movie Anand.. remember the famous " babu moshai") .. except for his brains he spoils every part of his body.. at the end shahrukh coming to know his end travels all the way to the village where our famous Ash is busy with her family to breathe his last.. This Movie taught me that Wine and Whisky are more important and nasheela than girls and you can find solace in them instead of loving girls.. it truly depicts that guys can go to any extent of destroying themselves for love and girls just move on (Ash gets married and no one knows about Madhuri who loves Shahrukh.. i am damn sure she didnt get into drinking.. atleast she had brains)
Saagar (1985) . In this movie kamal hassan (again) loves dimple kapadia who inturn loves rishi kapoor. Kamalhassan gets devastated by seeing dimple and rishi together and he gives up his life saving them in the climax. Both rishi kapoor and dimple kapadia even after knowing that Kamal Hassan truly madly loves dimple chose to give kamalhassans life for their love. This movie taught me that you should stick to your love even when you have to take someones life. you should be truly selfish come what might. at the end you should save your heart .. ass and what not? life has no value compared to LOVE .. he he
Kal Ho Na Ho (2003) . In this movie Shahrukh suffers again with some heart problem.. i think a hole in his heart . He still falls in love with Preity zinta and does all those things to make her fall in love with him but when she is about to propose him .. he tells a lie and gets saif ali khan and preity zinta hooked. He gets them married and dies at the end. wov.. This Movie taught me that you can have a hole in your heart but you should not make an ass out of your hole by loving a girl. you can make someone an asshole by hooking that girl to another guy just as shahrukh did to saif in this movie.. smart ass i say..shahrukh proves that death is more easier than loving a girl.
Tere Naam (2003) In this movie salman khan loves bhumika chawla.. forces her to love him back.. she reciprocates.. some old enemies beat him red and blue (why always red & blue and not yellow or orange ?? Million dollar question) and his brain gets damaged (as if it wasnt damaged before falling in love with bhumika) He spends some time in an asylum , escapes only to find that bhumika was about to marry someone else because of her parents pressure but commits suicide and he returns back to the asylum.. This Movie taught me that you dont need to have brains to love a girl as you will anyways lose your brains once you start loving a girl and Asylum is always the better and the safest place on earth saving you from girls
Even Hollywood tried to tell us that loving a girl is equalant to giving up your life from the famous movie TITANIC. Our Hollywood , Bollywood , Kollywood , Tollywood and every other director from our film industry tried to tell us that Love is indeed a special thing and if you want to Live , you shouldnt love.. but unfortunately even after all these herculian efforts of all these directors.. we end up falling in love and we end up with all sort of things except the girl . I too learnt a lot like the above and due to lack of space and time i am not able to give you details of few more movies which affected me and changed the perception of the word called LOVE.. even after all these efforts of these famous personalities we still fail to understand what they wanted to tell and end up falling in LOVE.. thats what the story is all about..
